The Hoodini Solar Project is Bad for Yuma, Wildlife & Arizona

The Hoodini Solar Project is operated by a foreign-owned Energy Company, "Eolus," to use Arizona State land to harness solar energy and sell it to other states while putting Arizona wildlife and habitat at risk.

Longterm Disadvantages to Yuma and all of Arizona

Endangers Sonoran Wildlife

Stripping the desert in this area for short-term profits for a foreign company is not worth the long-term repercussions to wildlife and the sensitive environment. This includes Mule Deer and Sonoran Pronghorn.

Energy will not stay in AZ

Eolus, a Swedish company propose to use state lands in Arizona for short-term profits by selling the solar energy harnessed to outside states at a premium. Yuma also does not have the infrastructure or station to store the energy for local use.

Strips AZ Desert Land

The foreign-owned Hoodini Solar Project will strip the Arizona desert for short-term profits and energy for a foreign company and benefit outside states. This large land occupation will put entire habitats at risk with little long-term gain for Arizona.

STOP EOLUS AND THE HOODINI SOLAR PROJECT

Arizona Land is Not for Foreign Profit and Out-of-State Energy

Eolus, a Swedish-based company, wants to erase 4,160 acres of undisturbed Arizona desert landscape in GMU 41 to construct a 455mw solar project on State Trust land providing electricity to California! These lands include the northern historic range for endangered Sonoran Pronghorn! Contact the Yuma County Board of Supervisors and recommend denial of Special Use Permit SUP23-11!

Email your Yuma County Board of Supervisors and ask them to Vote No on this project.
